Queer Science Fiction and Fantasy

Welcome! This is an open social space for reading and discussing queer SFF/speculative fiction, from novels to comics to story collections! We'll be meeting monthly. We follow strict Covid guidelines to keep everyone safe (make sure to read these before attending.)

Code of Conduct:

◉ We only read books that are queer sci-fi and/or fantasy.

◉ We diligently respect our Covid guidelines

◉ This is an M-rated space (where people swear and discuss adult content!). Some of the books we read may contain sexual content, violence, etc. Please research proposed books thoroughly (for triggers/content warnings) and make use of the "veto" function on our Bookclubs poll if need be.

◉ Respect the age diversity within our group: no explicit sex jokes, etc. during meetings.

◉ Respect gender identity and pronouns.

◉ Mistakes happen; sometimes we use the wrong pronoun or mess up in other ways. What matters is taking the correction gracefully and trying our best.

◉ Be respectful of other people's experiences. Express disagreement empathetically and honor differences in opinions during book conversations.

◉ We are completely community/volunteer-based and unaffiliated with any professional institution. We can't give this club 100% of our time and may make mistakes here and there. Please extend grace.

◉ This is your club! There's no strict hierarchy here: our admins/point people are here to provide structure, not authority.

◉ The club is open to all, but we do reserve the right to remove any community member who makes the space unsafe.

◉ Don't be an asshole: transphobia, racism, ableism, or harassment of any kind are not tolerated.
