Rules

1. Respect: All members are required to respect each other's opinions, voices, and experiences that may be shared during our book club meetings. This clubs was started as a safe space for any one who enjoys reading queer stories and it will remain that way. 

2. Trigger Warnings: Since we are reading queer stories that may or may not mirror our own experiences, please keep in mind that some of our monthly books may contain triggering subject matter. When a month's book is announced a list of trigger warnings will be posted as well to ensure that potential readers are informed before reading. 

*Please prioritize your mental health and only read books and attend meetings around said books that you are comfortable with. If you feel that book or discussion may be potentially triggering and need to skip a month, we understand completely*

3. Meetings: All meetings are held virtually. Meetings are typically held towards the end of each month in the late morning/early afternoon, though the exact date and time is voted on from month to month by members to allow the greatest attendance possible. 

4. Recording Agreement: To accommodate members who may be unable to attend a meeting for any reason but still want to hear our conversation, all meetings are recorded (audio only) and uploaded to YouTube. While the recordings are meant for club members, keep in mind that our YouTube channel is public so it is possible that a non club member may stumble upon it. Having said that, please be mindful that by attending a meeting you are consenting to be recorded. 

Preferences

1. Attendance: While no one is required or expected to attend all meetings, keep in mind that our meetings are only as interesting and interactive it's number of attendees. In other words, to save ourselves from a dull conversation we would greatly appreciate members attending a meeting every once in a while if at all possible. 

2. Book Completion: Members are encouraged to attend our monthly meetings regardless of how far they are in the book, but keep in mind that our discussions may contain some spoilers from those who are further along in the story than you are.

3. Participation: While all members are encouraged to participate when attending a meeting, no one is required to. Whether you'd like to dive into our discussion or just be a fly on the wall, you are welcome!
