Shazi's wit and will, indeed, get her through to the dawn that no others have seen, but with a catch . . . she's falling in love with the very boy who killed her dearest friend.

I really enjoyed this book. It didn't feel like a lot of fantasy books where they try to shove in too much all at once. I liked the internal struggles of the character, even if the father did annoy me a bit.

1.5 stars. Not sure I’ve ever read a book so fast because I just wanted it to be over… yikes
