Could hear the Northern Irish way of recounting through the narrative. Being from Ireland and knowing Northern Irish people, this brought me joy as well as an element of frustration while reading - wanting the author to get on with it ;) but that really is part of the Northern Irish experience. Appreciated the story also as an insight to how the troubles in the 70s affected the everyday existence and experience of a teenager during that time. I f...read more
