I warmed to protagonist Franny, but at times felt dialogue was a bit stilted, cannot justify this comment. But Fran became very real, honest and credible. She made no promises and this is what made her thoroughly real, as she knew her stuff ups would most likely continue. Josh as a character was positively annoying.
