Broken (in the best possible way)

An Instant New York Times Bestseller
New bonus chapter

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Furiously Happy and Let's Pretend This Never Happened comes a deeply relatable book filled with humor and honesty about depression and anxiety.

As Jenny Lawson's hundreds of thousands of fans know, she suffers from depression. In Broken, Jenny brings readers along on her mental and physical health journey, offering heartbreaking and hilarious anecdotes along the way.

With people experiencing anxiety and depression now more than ever, Jenny humanizes what we all face in an all-too-real way, reassuring us that we're not alone and making us laugh while doing it. From the business ideas that she wants to pitch to Shark Tank to the reason why Jenny can never go back to the post office, Broken leaves nothing to the imagination in the most satisfying way. And of course, Jenny's long-suffering husband Victor--the Ricky to Jenny's Lucille Ball--is present throughout.

A treat for Jenny Lawson's already existing fans, and destined to convert new ones, Broken is a beacon of hope and a wellspring of laughter when we all need it most.

Jenny Lawson hits it out of the park again! She is such a master of mixing the funny and absurd with serious contemplations about life. Right when I feel like the book feels a bit over the top, she hits right with the perfect reflection of anxiety and depression. FUNNY! This was a great refreshing comedic book. I found myself laughing so much that I had to stop reading and/or listeningro the audiobook in public as I was definitely disturbing the peace.

By far, my absolute FAVORITE of Jenny Lawson's hilarious books. I thought I was laughing hard at one point, and then I got to the chapter about the eclipse and I (thankfully) was pulled over in my truck to get the mail because I had TEARS RUNNING DOWN MY FACE!! I almost couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard.

I received this book as a giveaway from the publishers.

This is the second book I have read by Jenny Lawson, and they were both wonderful. I would love to meet this hilarious woman someday, but I'm pretty sure our combined anxiety will prevent that. She talks about her own mental health issues and the ups and downs of her marriage.
