Blood & Honey (Serpent & Dove, 2)

Description

The stakes are higher. The witches are deadlier. And the romance is red-hot. The eagerly anticipated sequel to the New York Times and Indiebound bestseller Serpent & Dove is perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas and is an instant New York Times bestseller!

Lou, Reid, Coco, and Ansel are on the run from coven, kingdom, and church--fugitives with nowhere to hide.

To survive, they need allies. Strong ones. But as Lou becomes increasingly desperate to save those she loves, she turns to a darker side of magic that may cost Reid the one thing he can't bear to lose. Bound to her always, his vows were clear: where Lou goes, he will go; and where she stays, he will stay.

Until death do they part.

Don't miss Gods & Monsters, the spellbinding conclusion of this epic trilogy!

Sometimes you just gotta punch someone in the nose and run. And I love Lou and Reid but I felt the need to knock their heads together multiple times while reading (out of love of course).

I loved the relationship growth in this book. We get to explore the characters that we started to love in Serpent and Dove so much more and it’s a grand adventure.

Also...the feels at the end were real!

Excellent book and I’m so looking forward to the next book!

A good middle book, obviously the center in a trilogy making it very transitional though. The growth and setup for the final act is reminiscent of the middle game in chess, trading pieces in an already established setting that isn't as exciting as the establishing moves. Lou has always been a wonderful character and I loved the first book. I think what I didn't like in this book was how whiny Reid was for like the whole book and the tension between him and Lou.

It also got hella dark at the end and even though Morgane is batshit crazy and I know this I somehow wasn't expecting it. Wh...read more

4 STARS- I just cannot fathom words. This book took me on a freaking JOURNEY. I was frustrated, annoyed, sad and straight up angry the majority of the time reading it. But that’s what was so awfully great about this book. I felt what they felt alongside them. I was apart of their grief and anger and loss and triumph. This book hurts, and I am so annoyed by it but it was written so damn well. I hate it. I love it. I’m mad at how it ended and I don...read more
