Antonia's husband Sam has died, sister Izzy has disappeared, and a very pregnant teen has arrived in the small Vermont town. This is a sweet, relatively short (and small) novel about sisterhood, grief, memory and love. Great chapter titles, and literary references throughout (TS Eliot, Macbeth, Auden, refrigerator magnets, a Yiddish grandmother).
