When No One Is Watching: An Edgar Award Winner

A little wordy at some parts with a couple back stories that I don't think we're necessary, BUT the second half is worth it. To others' reviews, the end is a little far-fetched, but even metaphorically, the message still holds. Look after your community. Respect where people live. And know your damn history.

Enjoyed this book very much the ending was a little too far fetched but overall a good read.

The use of Gothic space in the middle of Brooklyn was spot on. The characters were well drawn. The ending was a little over the top and threw the book into another subgenre, but that's not necessarily a detraction. Who doesn't love an angry black woman with a Smith and Wesson?

Loved it! On my list to read again.
