I picked this book up because it said it was a New York Times Bestseller. Also I had spent a fair amount of time in Midland & Odessa for work. I finished but it was not really an uplifting book. I kept hoping for something to bring the women some happiness or things to get a little better in their lives. There is a twist at the end.
