I normally never read things about gay/lesbian love stories but this one made me sob for a solid 30 minutes from what I remember.
It’s literally in the title, but it rips your heart to shreds anyway.

The concept is intriguing, the character development is okay, the characters complement each other well, and the various perspectives that connect feel particularly interesting. Actually, it's quite mediocre. I was expecting to bawl my eyes out, but only one specific paragraph put a little lump in my throat. In the end, a book about death turned out to be a book about life.
