3.5 stars...I think.

I was not sure I would like this book due to the nature of the content of the book. I ended up really liking it. I feel that it was very thought provoking. Nature vs Nurture. How does society play a role in how we view motherhood. This book has a twist in the end . I recommend this book especially for book clubs.

This is one of the best domestic thrillers that I have read. This protagonist is aware of her bias, but holds it up to the light and sees through it. This psychological thriller was all about motherhood. Mostly patterns of failed motherhood. Are the sins of the parents inflicted on the children? Blythe seems like she is suffering from post partum depression. But as her daughter grows, she sees immense cruelty in her. Or is Blythe an unreliable narrator? I just know that i don’t want her life.
