This book was good but I wish that there was more focus on developing the characters/ going more into their backstories.
I actually didn't realize this was by the same person who wrote The Silent Patient. I haven't read it, but I know people like that one a lot.
Anyway, I guess this novel was...disappointing? I was totally hooked UNTIL the ending. The first 80% of this book was an 8/10, and the ending dropped down to a 3/10. Felt very hasty and sloppy, the twist made no sense. The buildup was the best part of the book.
