The Boys in the Boat was an interesting read about the men of the 8-man rower, especially Joe Rantz, and their meteoric rise. Brown interviewed Rantz extensively as well as the other members who were still alive. Brown gets a bit bogged down into the minutiae of rowing, sculls, weather, etc. but the overall book keeps the action going.
