I think my problem is that I read this after watching the first season of the show. The characters I was most invested were NOT the characters in this series, apparently. I thought Alina and Mal and their whole dynamic were annoying and frustrating. I spent the whole book waiting to read about Kaz, Inej, Jesper, Matthias, and Nina. It seems I would probably prefer Six of Crows?
It’s easy to see why this was made into a video series. Very cinematic. The story of two orphans who end up with magical powers and fight to save the world.
Not as good as six of crow imo but still really good. Sexy danger romance. Wish the main character had given into that more.
I'm on the fence on how to rate this. 3.5? 4?
