Most of the book was common sense, but the examples of famous people of a fixed mindset and ones of a growth mindset were interesting.

This is a powerful view of human motivation, with lots of examples, both from research and personal anecdotes to convey the points made. Essentially a description of how a fixed mindset (thinking ability/traits/skills are static) and a growth mindset (thinking that effort and persistence will increase ability/skills and affect traits positively) can create incredibly different experiences. I learned the same thing from one chapter in [b:NurtureShock: New Thinking About Children|6496815|NurtureShock New Thinking About Children|Po Bronson|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1442285268s/6496815.jpg|6688299]. The message is important but this book just belabors that one point that our abilities are not fixed based on inborn talent, but must be cultivated through hard work and determination.
