This was quite a good mystery that actually had two mysteries contained within it. This was every bit as delightful as it was touted. A book within a book, the story follows a publishing house editor as she reads a new manuscript from a famous author... and the last chapter is missing. And then the author is killed. Two intriguing, entertaining stories teaming with intertwining characters and plots!

I listened to the audiobook, pleasingly performed by Allan Corduner and Samantha Bond. The nearly 16 hour recording absolutely flew by. I found myself listening to it at every free moment. This took me a long time to get into but once I did I ended up really liking it. It’s a mystery within a mystery. It is way to long though. I felt like some things were drug out when they didn’t need to be.
