What an exceptional work of journalism. Kolker has obviously done extensive research on schizophrenia and the hours of interviews and journal or medical record reading he must have engaged in to tease out a coherent story about the Galvins, who had spent years masking their own reality from the world. Wow. What a story. A TRUE STORY. I know very little about schizophrenia but had the incorrect impression that it was all about multiple personalities. This book was eye opening and helped me realize how devastating schizophrenia can be.
