Dune 1 Young Paul Atreides moves with his family to Arrakis AKA Dune, where he goes native and overthrows an intergalactic empire. His first child, Leto II The Elder, is killed as an infant. (Love it or hate it, the book that started it all!! As with many books in the Dune series, it contains at least one NSFW section. Otherwise, highly recommended!!!)

DNF @ 30%.

I really wanted to like this way more than I ended up caring about it. I saw the movie and it seemed interesting enough and I also know that this is a classic, so I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get myself to care about any of the characters. No one really felt like someone I could connect to, and it felt very lofty
