Beautiful. A lesson to be learned about leaving things that should be said or done until they are too late. Heartbreaking.
Hosseini's 3rd book and I'm an official fan. I guess I thought the first two could be flukes (no I didn't, they were wonderful).

I loved this book and how each chapter was a story itself that tied to the other with such understanding and love. As the chapters start to feel long winded and you lose sight on the purpose, it all ties together to the characters before. I loved it how it displayed the relationship between family that was so relatable and heart warming but not the typical perfect scenario. This book was definitely different from his other two; much more introspective. I liked the different points of view and he did a good job of weaving a common theme of complex family relationships across so many characters, time frames, and settings. While families are complicated and conflicted, there is always an underlying bond that can't be severed.
The only reason I didn’t rate this a ten is because it kind of drew out in the middle a bit, so I had to push through. But absolutely beautiful. This is the third book I’ve read by Khalid Hosseini and I’ve cried each and every time. He has such a way with words…READ IT, and read his other books as well:)))
