Ugh! My heart. I am so beautifully broken. I needed this read, not only because it had been on my TBR for a long time, but I needed the substance. The detail in this book is astounding. While I tired of some of the descriptions, like street names and Jude’s every day agony, I appreciated it nonetheless. Yanagihara successfully captured life with all of it horrors and some of its beauties. Unnecessarily long. Didn’t live up to the Tik Tok hype for me. I didn’t shed a single tear but it was a decent story. Great job with the ending. I really enjoyed maybe the last 5 pages.
